    Got to airport in Las Palmas to board our flight to Madrid and were informed that our connecting flight
    from Madrid to Alicante had been cancelled.
    We had to stay another night in Las Palmas and were flown direct to Alicante the next day .
    A company called Airhelp has been pursuing our claim but had no results yet after 16 months .
