Claim compensation for your prejudice with Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus is the first airline in Ireland. Headquartered in Dublin, it serves a fleet of fifty four aircraft, deployed to forty destinations around the world.
For information, this air carrier belongs to an EU country, so all passengers who are delayed or canceled are eligible for compensation.
Keep peace of mind by referring your case to lawyers
Lawyers with essential skills and in-depth knowledge in many areas of law including air consumer compensation, are at your disposal.
From the first contact with your firm, its advisors give you complete answers on the various issues related to your injury.
These legal experts can provide you with a complete legal framework to deal with all aspects of your case.
How its compensation is calculated
Only the kilometric distance (between the two airports) that can determine the compensation repairing the inconvenience:
< 1500 Km => 250 €
≤ 3500 Km => 400 €
> 3500 Km => 600 €
Ddelay
Unforeseeable events can happen suddenly, and at the last minute, can disrupt your trip. Independent of your will, they can simply stop you from flying as you wish.
Delays of more than two hours are covered by certain services to be offered free of charge to passengers including meals / drinks, communications (phone calls and sms), accommodation, ... while the moment the delay is considered to be exaggerated (more three hours), the injured parties can claim compensation.
Only in case of force majeure such as (volcanic eruption, weather, civil revolution, ...) the carrier is relieved of any liability to its passengers as these circumstances were out of his control.
Cancellation of flight
When a flight is canceled, the airline asks its passengers not to worry about promising to find a replacement flight as soon as possible.
Indeed, after canceling their trip, the operators do not inform their passengers about all their rights, so that they are not able to assert them.
Your eligibility for compensation depends mainly on the length of your presence on the ground. You obviously have the possibility of claiming it if your second plane does not take the air or arrive at the airport of your destination after three hours late.
Overbooking
By purchasing a flight ticket, it must include all the information about your trip including name, destination, city and time of departure and arrival in addition to the seat number. However, at the present time, having a travel ticket is not enough to guarantee its place on board, it may be that at the time of boarding, we will be surprised by the existence of a person who owns the same ticket than the same seat number. All this is the fault of the airline overbooking.
To deal with this phenomenon, the European Parliament has decided to put in place financial sanctions to deal with the damages suffered by passengers whose overbooking.
Missed connection
If the delay recorded on your first flight served by Aer Lingus made you miss your correspondence? It's up to the Irish airline to schedule another flight to your destination, and the latter to compensate you if you land at the airport three hours late.
Hello,
I am writing to request reimbursement for my delayed flight from Manchester (UK) to Orlando (US), flight number VS075 on Friday 14th January 2022. The flight was canceled and rescheduled for the next day, which resulted in me taking an additional two covid tests for traveling for myself and my wife, which cost $96.03. We also spent $54.13 in food waiting for our delayed flight and £18 in parking fees, and £60.01 in petrol costs on the wasted trip. The trip also cost me and my wife an additional day of lost work. I can provide receipts and bank statements to prove these costs. Generally, we were happy with our experience with Aer Lingus and would gladly leave positive feedback and use the service again if Aer Lingus can reimburse these costs.
Yours sincerely,
Daniel Lowndes
